Watching said Grandbaby doing her toddler yoga prior to going to bed was a very special treat.

1 Over the winter months, I have been collecting the fluff from the hoover and stuffing it into a peanut feeder. I put it out for the birds yesterday and this morning caught a Blue tit collecting from it and taking the beautifully soft material back to our lighthouse nesting box. What a delight! 2 We took a flat walk in Devoran today. It was good to get some relatively easy exercise. I paid rather badly for my walk into Redruth the other day. For those who don’t know Redruth, for us there is a steep hill down into town and then the main street goes up just as steeply. Coming home of course, is another steep downhill and a further steep uphill! It felt fine at the time but my new hip ached and my yet-to-be-fixed-hip was not at all happy.
Our walk rewarded us with some beautiful fresh Spring flowers – the May blossom was fabulous and we saw our first Bluebells.
3 Taking a side path, we noticed an old building which I went into to explore. What a fabulous place for kids to play to use their imaginations.

3 On the way home from our visit, we went past our favourite organic shop, Green Star Natural Store where we bought some vegetables, some eggs and delicious hot Cornish pasties for our lunch. They are just the best pasties with crunchy pastry and a really well flavoured filling with good pieces of beef. That was some tasty treat for lunch!

Last night’s sunset was utterly amazing – the sky seemed to be on fire. After taking some conventional photos, I decided to move the camera and see if I could get some interesting blurry photos. 2 We found a beautiful beetle on the wall in the sunroom today and I have just discovered that it is a Wasp Beetle. It is quite harmless and mimics a wasp to keep predators away.

3 I have been thinking about my friend Shelagh this afternoon while I have been in the sunshine, planting flower seeds in a ‘cutting’ bed. There are Nigella and various colours of Cornflowers. Shelagh lives in Vermont, USA, and they have had two more inches of snow today and the snow ploughs have been out. I have sent her some warm Spring vibes across the ether and if you are somewhere where winter still rules, feel free to share them. We have lots to go around! The film about Cornwall, your home too, is for you as well Shelagh.

1 It has been another beautiful clear skied day with blue skies and bright sunshine though there is still a sharp nip in the air when out of the warmth of the sun. I love how the sunshine made these (poisonous?) berries of the Laurel glow as if lit from inside.

2 We Skyped with the family contingent who live in Barcelona last week and NM confessed that she had lost her scarf. I have made a new one, as requested in the same chunky pink wool that I used for her cardigan in January. We posted it this morning.

Here, I have creamed the butter and sugar until almost white and am now incorporating the finely grated rind of two oranges and loads of grated ginger as I make the most Delicious gingerbread ever! The K beater is doing all the work in a blur of motion.
