Marmite and Red Onion Scones

I found this recipe in the Observer Food magazine last year and stuck it into my book of recipes to keep. It is a favourite of V V Brown. You can find it online here

I used vanilla yogurt as that was all we had. I usually make 15 smaller scones rather than 8 big ones and I find they only need 10-12 minutes but that will depend on your oven. For those who are Marmite haters, the Marmite really only adds savouriness. Mr S, not a Marmite lover,  couldn’t tell it was there!
