I love reading a new recipe that sounds good, making it and finding that it is as delicious as imagined! This is Brownie Banana Bread ready for the volunteers at Community Roots tomorrow.
Eating a slice this evening, I was reminded of a poem we used to share with Ti, Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen. It became one of her favourites. Here is the start of it….

My mum always did a special chocolate cake for my birthdays as it was my wish. I loved it. I still love chocolate in any form, it just has that feel good factor. ❤️ This recipe /caka looks great and yummy. ❤️

Next time I make the cake, I’ll do the photos and put it on my recipe page as it is very good! I expect your Mum had a special recipe for your birthday cake too. Lovely memory. xx

Perfect dinner! There are times when only chocolate will do – and hopefully it’ll be chocolate for breakfast quite soon. 🙂
