A delicious herbal tea was served to Daughter No 2 in this delightful half pot with the cup below.
We met up in Truro with our nephew and family on holiday here from Munich. T became bored with the conversation and went to gaze out of the window. He loves his Harry Kane shirt!

Friends at choir give me bits of jewellery for my glass work with instructions to give away any pieces that I cannot use so this morning we shared out the pretty bangles and that pleased the LiveWires greatly.
There is a rather grotty corner near our Co-op delivery area that someone has brightened with some planting.
LiveWire breakfasts are fun! They ate lots of eggy bread with various tomato ketchup shapes.
A lovely time was had by all playing in the waves and the sand in Portreath.

The Chilli went down a storm this evening when all thirteen of us were together and so did the Summer pudding.

There will be thirteen for dinner tomorrow so we are having to break out the Family Silver! It is from my Mum and Dad’s wedding present canteen (1939) and was a bit tarnished. The three LiveWires took on the polishing to make it all shiny and smart.

LiveWire No 3 didn’t want to go to the beach this afternoon being tired from yesterday’s journey so she read her science magazine and discovered a fun sounding experiment, making bouncy balls. It was a sticky process and here are her lovely little hands. 
She coloured one mix pink and the other blue.

I’ve spent this very wet day cooking up a storm! I’ve made a vat of Chilli for the family gathering of thirteen whom we are feeding tomorrow, an enormous Summer pudding for the same and two Blackberry and Apple Crumbles with blackberries collected this afternoon by LiveWire No 4 and her Mum who were the first of the family to arrive.
Knowing about my beautiful things, a lovely little moth was brought indoors for me today by LiveWire No 4 and here it is, a Brimstone Moth.

We went to Porthtowan today to meet our nephew and family and have rarely seen the beach so crowded. There were lots of kites around, mostly moving too fast for me to capture.
The Rose hips were in someone’s garden in Truro or I might have picked them to make syrup.
Before the show, Estha’s Story, at Heartlands this evening, there was singing and cake in the Diaspora garden. The cakes were magnificent! All made by Little Crumbs and decorated with edible flowers.
The show was amazing! Yskynna, the aerial dance company and the singers combined to tell the story of a Cornish Bal maiden and the audience loved it. Click on any photo in the gallery for a closer look.

We had Long-tail Tits in the garden today – my favourite little birds.
A friend of ours recently had a baby boy so I have made him a pair of Sally-boots as I make for all new babies, as my welcome to the world.
I have completed glass piece for a friend today incorporating her much treasured crystal heart. I’m very pleased with it.
The Bill Mackenzie seed heads were catching the sunbeams today and were very lovely.
At the weekend, Extinction Rebellion put 200 flags on boats in Falmouth harbour to draw attention to the climate emergency and I hoped our boat was one of them. We went to have a look this evening and we have a flag!
