Friendship, Hell’s Mouth and Shopping List

Before going out for coffee together, D brought me a beautiful bunch of Sweet Peas which are filling the room with their delicious scent.

We went to Hell’s Mouth, somewhere I had not been for many years and its beauty knocked me for six!

Our oldest Live-wire took great pleasure in writing us our shopping list before she left.

Last Goodbyes, Jasmine and The Arbour

The last family people left this morning and as you can imagine the house is eerily silent. All three can be seen waving here if you look carefully.

2   Our garden has become a jungle in the ten days the family have been here and we have been having too much fun to be tending to it. The Jasmine has its first few flowers and my goodness, they pack a powerful punch of perfume as you walk under the arch.

3   Sitting in the arbour in the sunshine this afternoon I could see that many beans are suddenly ready for harvesting so for supper tonight we are having Green Beans with Shallots (our own), Garlic (our own) and toasted almond slivers to go with a bit of leftover roasted chicken – simple and delicious.

Games, Dancing and Goodbyes

It was a busy morning with more packing up, two Live-Wires singing and dancing to Frozen, another setting up Monopoly, Cornwall edition, to play with his Uncle and Mum and thence to the train and lots of hugs and kisses and waving goodbye. The families are meeting up again in a few days in London so the goodbyes for them are not so bad……. They will be able to cement their new found cousinhood even more which will be wonderful.

Littlest Live-wire’s other Granny sent me this today knowing that all the little cousins are here together. Thank you B.

Littlest Live-wire has been itching to pick the cherry tomatoes since she arrived and today harvested enough for us all to have one each.

This very rainy afternoon we have baked gingerbread shapes and iced them. Great fun was had by all and lots of munching too!  The Hama beads kept them all busy too.

Little Live-Wires and a Summer Day at Porthtowan

What a beautiful day we have had with all the Little Live Wires  and all our four ‘kids’ playing on the beach, exploring, digging pools, re-directing  streams and laughing, laughing, laughing! And then….. a whole pod of dolphins crossed the bay! Dolphins had not been seen in this bay for three years we were told later! You may just be able to catch a glimpse of one in this photo if you look carefully! You may need to click and zoom in.
