2 The sky today has been the vividest blue and the lovely Mr S fixed up our new weather vane.
3 We also planted something rather special though not conventionally beautiful, more a kitchen sculpture, my Mum’s old panstand! Each year we grow our runner beans up it and I know my Mum and Dad would have been tickled pink to know how we are putting it to use, there being no space in our kitchen for its proper use.

1 On our way to the Doctor’s for the next two vaccinations (Meningitis and typhoid) we walked through the park where I found all these beautiful small flowers, all of which we call weeds but aren’t they gorgeous?

2 Heard the buzzards calling in the early morning sunshine but couldn’t spot them.
3 The rabbits are racing around in the field behind us. One sat still for a photo shoot!

1 Presents, cards, phone calls and text – what lovely kids we have!
2 Made a fabulous Caramelised Onion Jalousie for a pot-luck lunch with Humanist friends today. Glorious venue too overlooking Falmouth Bay. Thanks to Maria for hosting.

1 Our choir babies had fun today as we sang our hearts out.They also enjoyed the attention during the delicious lunch that L put on for us all to say goodbye to one of our members who is leaving us.
2 Had a fabulous drive through very narrow Cornish lanes lined with ancient trees down to Porth Navas to meet Lowen, the baby whose naming ceremony I’m to do in April. Her name is Cornish for happy. Isn’t that lovely?
3 Then on the corner, as I left, I spotted a field full of daffodils, absolutely glorious in their yellowness.

1 Anyone remember Polyphotos? Forty eight photos were taken in quick succession and printed on one sheet. It was hoped one would be good enough to print. I guess I’m about one year old in these.

2 Some of today’s things may not be considered intrinsically beautiful but the effect they’ve had certainly is! The light in the front garden now is wonderful.

3 I rescued lots of little primrose plants from the front garden and planted them in the Cornish wall at the back.

1 The most glorious sunny Spring day today so we went garden shopping for the new patch at the back, more Spring bulbs, a dark red leaved Berberis that will have white hawthorn-like flowers and then beautiful berries for the birds in the winter, a big piece of trellis. I just love the way rain droplets collect in Lupin leaves!

2 Wordpress have just added a feature that shows where in the world people are reading your blog. I was quite astounded to see that my blog has been read in 24 countries over the last 10 days!
3 Our oldest daughter, Mikki, is visiting this weekend to celebrate her birthday with us which is lovely. We haven’t seen her since Christmas.

1 There are daffodils and /or primroses in every hedgerow, by the side of the roads, in many fields and gardens and in my window boxes.What a beautiful yellow time of year this is!

2 After sleeping on silk pillows at KJ’s last week and my curls staying curly and a bit less wild, I decided to invest in some and they arrived today.
3 My piano lesson went well. My teacher G is one of the most encouraging and patient people I know.

1 The Gogos (Grannies) of Mapoch in South Africa do the most amazing beading which we discovered when voluntouring in the village. Today I have posted off 236 balls from roll-on deodorants collected from friends (Thank you all!) and 86 small plastic tubes to be made into beautiful beaded objects. Thanks again to P&H for the postage. See post of 9th January for photos.
2 The sun-trap patch at the end of the garden is now paved and looks lovely. Now comes the fun part, choosing what to plant in the wall…….
