Trains, Primroses and Home

04 Mar

1 Replacement bus, underground trains, main line train, replacement coach, another mainline train – 9 hours travelling North Finchley to Redruth! Some of this came into the pleasing things category!

2  Beautiful banks of primroses lining the A38.

3  Home!

Glad you got home OK. After over 25+ years I have come to hate that train journey from my family and sisters in Fulham, then to Paddington, then the interminable 5+ hours train journey to Redruth and then the drive back to my home from there….and visa versa.

In the beginning of living here it was fun at times, and at first I drove to London and that was OK…but due to disabilities I cant drive it now and now I dislike the train journey as I know it so well, every single inch like the back of my hand, it is now so very boring …………………and so although in principle I do not support flying I have flown from Newquay now and then just to avoid this train journey.

But glad it was OK for you and you got home and enjoyed at least some of it

Hi Veritee, Mostly I enjoy the journey but not so much when it takes so long or is in the dark so that I can’t watch the countryside going by!
