1 A typical Autumnal morning today, with spiders’ webs everywhere all covered in tiny dew drops that look like miniature bubbles when you zoom in on them.

2 The garden still has lots of colour and I’ve cut some flowers for indoors, Sweet peas, Fuchsia, Japanese Anemones and Ceratostigma Plumbaginoides

3 This beautiful loaf has been baked in a terracotta bread crock made by Harry Juniper of Bideford.

1 The Sweet peas are lasting well despite the sudden drop in temperature. I love their colours against that beautiful crisp blue sky.

2 I know you don’t all like spiders but this is a beauty and look at the intricacies of all the webs he’s been working on. I’ve tried to identify him but haven’t been successful. Any ideas? He was in the bottom of an old flowerpot.

3 This swan came straight for us as we got out of the car near the river in Hayle, expecting to be fed I expect.

The photo was taken in the garden of Creek Vean, Pill Creek, Feock, the first house we lived in when we moved to Cornwall. I still have the Christening dress that all of us wore in turn and Mum and her brother wore before us almost 100 years ago!

1 The Wedding was absolutely beautiful! The sun shone, the couple were radiant and the tide stayed out! After the very moving Ceremony, I managed to snatch a couple of photos.

These lovely words were read by the Groom’s Mum. It is called ‘Beauty of Love’
The question is asked: ‘Is there anything more beautiful in life than a young couple clasping hands and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be anything more beautiful than young love?’ And the answer is given: ‘Yes, there is a more beautiful thing. It is the spectacle of an old man and an old woman finishing their journey together on that path. Their hands are gnarled but still clasped; their faces are seamed but still radiant; their hearts are physically bowed and tired but still strong with love and devotion. Yes, there is a more beautiful thing than young love. Old love.
2 Last night I was given this highly scented and very pretty posy of sweet peas. Thank you, Brenda! (and also for the pheasant which we will so enjoy on our return from babysitting in London.)

3 This afternoon has been spent in the beautifully sunny garden doing tidying up Autumny jobs – another picking of beans and the container grown Christmas Day potatoes needed earthing up.

1 The sun shining through the sweet pea pod shows the furriness of the pod in the sunlight and the little seeds inside – just beautiful!
2 The poppy seed heads are just opening to scatter their tiny black seeds everywhere – lots of poppies next year!
