Small Bouquet, December Flowers and A Dessert

I gathered a little garden bouquet for our lovely neighbour in memory of her dear husband’s birthday. Bill-next-door was a very special person remembered here.

Other flowers in our garden yesterday, though the rose has now dropped, are below.

I’ve caramelised plums to have with ice-cream for supper tonight.

Magpies, Fuchsia and Dahlia

1    So many Magpies in our neighbours’ tree last evening – in the words of an old English Nursery rhyme, eleven for health, that would be good! Glad there weren’t 13!   You may need to click on the photo to see them all.

One for Sorrow
Two for joy
Three for a girl
Four for a boy
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told
Eight for a wish
Nine for a kiss
Ten a surprise you should be careful not to miss
Eleven for health
Twelve for wealth
Thirteen beware it’s the devil himself.

2    The sunlight on the Fuchsia lit them up beautifully and just as I took the photo, a bee settled.

3    There’s a new bud on the Dahlia – the sunlight lit that beautifully too.

Dew Droplets, Garden Bouquet and Just Baked Bread

1   A typical Autumnal morning today, with spiders’ webs everywhere all covered in tiny dew drops that look like miniature bubbles when you zoom in on them.

2   The garden still has lots of colour and I’ve cut some flowers for indoors, Sweet peas, Fuchsia, Japanese Anemones and Ceratostigma Plumbaginoides
