Purple, White and An Angel

The Hebe in our Suffragette garden is in flower and the lovely white cyclamen that are planted underneath are also looking lovely.

I have completed one of the three angels for L using her own bits of jewellery. I’m really pleased with this one – I like the way the colours go together.

Masks, Wild Blooms and a Surprise.

Our town has a novel way of encouraging us to wear our masks. There are lots , one on almost every lamp-post.I’ll show you more later.  On the path up from town is a self-seeded Passion flower, still blooming.

Little Cyclamen are appearing in the Suffragette garden much to my surprise.

Suffragette Garden, Bee and Cuddly Toys

1   There is lots of colour in our Suffragette garden with shades of purple, white and green.

2   Serendipitously, a bee appeared in my photo of the Verbena Bonariensis and the Japanese Anemones.

Cyclamen, Simple Lunch and Poppies in the Rain

1   I discovered these delightful curly stems on the ground in the garden this morning. It looks as if there will be lots of Cyclamen Hederifolium flowers this year but I was expecting them to flower in the Autumn! Perhaps they think it is Autumn already. It is cool enough and there are spiders’ webs covered in rain drops all over the garden.

2   It may be cool out there but we have lots of our own lettuce leaves to eat – today a simple Italian salad of Pomodorinos, avocado and mozzarella with a balsamic dressing. I forgot the basil until after the photos!

3   The rain has beaten the poppies down and the wind has shaken off some petals sooner than hoped. They are still very beautiful and I love how the raindrops cling to the hairy stems.
