Interloper, Grasses and One Love

Sitting reading in the garden this afternoon, I noticed a red petal among the sapphire blue of the Agapanthus. It’s a stray blossom from the Crocosmia called Lucifer.

Lovely contrast

Sunset highlighted the shapes of the grasses at Godrevy this evening.

We love this series of YouTube videos, Playing for Change, Songs around the World. It is such a delight to see so many musicians from all over the world playing the same piece with such joy.  I hope you enjoy it too.

Exhibition, Bee and Butterfly

The Cornish Studies Library in Redruth now has our Perthi Kov Exhibition of the people we researched for  ‘Until the Day Break’, all  put together by Lesley Trotter and me and designed by Anna Oliver. It looks good in this venue! If you are local, go in and have a look. If you are from somewhere else in the world, please click on the photo to be able to read about our fascinating characters.

Bees and butterflies are enjoying our Agapanthus flowers as are we.

Dress, Strawberry Tartlets and Lucifer

I saw this dress today and fell in love with it. Sadly, it remains in the shop, The Black Pearl in Falmouth …… I may have to go back – at least to try it on!

Isn't this beautiful?

These scrumptious little tartlets were our treat today.

The Crocosmia Lucifers are coming into flower. I love the buds and the vibrant colour. I was delighted to see a curious little bug looking around when I uploaded the photo. Zoom in – he’s delightful!

All the Little Live-Wires, Border and Seed Head

It is magic at our house tonight – all four of our Grandchildren are here at the same time! This has never happened before and they are having such fun together and we are all very happy!

Singing Together, Pan-Stand and Colour Clash

1   Singing with The Suitcases this morning was the tonic I needed. It was so good to sing in beautiful harmony with good friends.

2     All that rain has made the garden lush!  The beans we planted to go up the old pan-stand I showed you ( http://wp.me/p1Ypl6-H8 )  have almost reached the top. The broad beans are almost ready for picking and the nasturtiums are gorgeous (and good in salad!)

The teapots at the top are from Senegal. Ami got them for us when were were there for the wedding in April. The old chimney pot is one from Mum and Dad’s garden. The new arbour is an early Sapphire Wedding Anniversary present to ourselves!

3   I find this colour combination of Crocosmia Lucifer and Verbena Bonariensis very beautiful.
