Thank you for all the good wishes for my recovery  – still rough and again the lovely Mr S has taken these photos for me today.

The lovely Mr S has been out into the rather damp garden to find me some beautiful things as I am laid up with some vile lurgy that has knocked the stuffing out of me. Postings may be sporadic over the next few day and I apologise to followers for no beautiful things yesterday.

Stars, Paintings and Do Good December
We went back to Krowji today, to their Open Studios event, Â so that I could show the lovely Mr S some of the beautiful art work I had seen on Friday. Â We sang under these stars on Friday.

We both fell for some of Kerry Harding’s paintings seen below with her permission – fabulous dramatic work that, sadly was beyond our price tag.

I also loved one of Chloe  Tinsley’s paintings, vibrant and catching at my heart strings – again with a rather large price tag though I am figuring out how to do this!  Click on the red link to see the painting that I fell in love with.
It’s December and I am sharing another positive poster from Action for Happiness.
Do good December
We have started on the Do Good thing by making up two boxes for Cornwall’s Christmas box project where a whole Christmas dinner plus treats are packed up in a decorated box and distributed, via the council, The boxes are given out by Cornwall Council’s teams working with vulnerable and impoverished families, the poorest in Cornwall, to give them something for Christmas. More than 500 were donated last year.  If you are local and would like to contribute, here is the link.

This afternoon The Suitcase Singers sang on the top deck of an open-topped bus to entertain the shoppers in Falmouth. The lower deck was a Santa’s Grotto!

I love this knitted Nativity scene found in the window of Book Mark, Falmouth’s second hand bookshop. Note the selfie stick held by Joseph, reminiscent of all the selfies we saw being taken in the Sagrada Familia earlier in the week.

Behind Truro
I tried a new recipe for tonight and it was delicious. I’m trying to do two each of vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish over each eight day sequence and this is a splendid vegan meal.

We have been singing carols for the start of Krowji’s open week of art sales – lots of fun. Here is a small group singing a bit of Gaudete.

We had hoped to see the Marazion murmuration this evening but the wind was far too strong and the starlings just flew in in small groups and went straight to roost in the reeds. There was still beauty to be found!

Fruity Decorations, Angel and Pockets
There was a delightful Christmas Market outside the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Â I resisted most of the stalls though I loved the fruity decorations which I am going to try to make and, everywhere we go, I buy a new Angel for the Christmas tree. There was music playing around the market and one of the songs was ‘Nana Nanita’ a Spanish lullaby which both my choirs sing.

I have another lovely poem by Kim Ridgeon to share. I find this somehow evocative of childhood  and love the ideas of pockets full of secrets, beliefs, memories and fears. I don’t know who is in the photo but I do have permission to show both the poem and the accompanying photo.
