Christmas Boxes, Scented Rose and Supper

We delivered our boxes today and were pleased to see others at the collection point.

Christmas Dinner Boxes

I called in to see my lovely neighbour this afternoon. Her rose, which smells divine, is still in flower and there is one more outside to be picked soon.

Young Lycidas

I tried another vegan recipe last night and it was delicious. I served it with onion gravy and broccoli.

Stars, Paintings and Do Good December

We went back to Krowji today, to their Open Studios event,  so that I could show the lovely Mr S some of the beautiful art work I had seen on Friday.  We sang under these stars on Friday.

We both fell for some of Kerry Harding’s paintings seen below with her permission – fabulous dramatic work that, sadly was beyond our price tag.

Kerry Harding’s beautiful work

I also loved one of Chloe  Tinsley’s paintings, vibrant and catching at my heart strings – again with a rather large price tag though I am figuring out how to do this!  Click on the red link to see the painting that I fell in love with.

It’s December and I am sharing another positive poster from Action for Happiness.

Do good December

We have started on the Do Good thing by making up two boxes for Cornwall’s Christmas box project where a whole Christmas dinner plus treats are packed up in a decorated box and distributed, via the council, The boxes are given out by Cornwall Council’s teams working with vulnerable and impoverished families, the poorest in Cornwall, to give them something for Christmas. More than 500 were donated last year.  If you are local and would like to contribute, here is the link.

Delivery Day, Angels and Snoods

Today I took all the baby hats to the wool shop and was delighted to hear that the Midwife from Treliske Hospital will be collecting all the little hats at the end of the week. We also delivered our two goody packed boxes to one of the Cornwall Christmas box collection points. The idea is to fill them with food for a family for Christmas dinner plus some treats.

Ready for delivery

I hung some angels today and loved that they seem to be flying. Thanks, A!

Paper angels

When we were in Truro on Saturday, I took two snoods hoping to find the two Big Issue people that we buy from and talk to. They were both delighted to be given a Christmas present – one will be kept by S; the other is to be passed on to someone who needs it more………..
