1 We have harvested the last of our broad beans today – that feels both good and a bit sad. It means that Summer is almost over …….. They were delicious and I have frozen some for later.
2 I pruned the Olive tree at the start of the summer (as advised) but was too hard on it and thought I’d killed it. Imagine my delight when I found these beautiful little shoots today! There are thirteen all together so it’s alive!
3 Beautiful flowers from the garden.
and a photo of Falmouth Bay from Carn Marth yesterday, for mixedupmeme

The Montbretia kind of arranges itself with those lovely arching stems 🙂

Thank you. Yes, it does, doesn’t it? Autumn is usually my favourite season but we haven’t had Summer yet so I’m feeling a bit wistful! 🙂

You haven’t had summer yet?! WOW I hate summer, you live in Cornwall right? I might have to get a visa!! LOL We have such hot and humid summers. Thankfully this summer was not too bad, only a few days of high humidity.

We’ve had only a few odd warm days! We need an Indian Summer to make us all feel better! I do sympathise with the high humidity – my SIL lives in Atlanta and tells us about that.
Stay cool! 🙂

I can sure sympathize with your SIL – we lived in Augusta GA – at one point during our stay I thought all the air got sucked up into a funnel or something. 🙂 We visited our son at Ft Benning (near Atlanta) a few years ago when he was there and it was Feb and just about roasted. No wonder my grandmother’s family moved to NY! Remind me when I complain about the freezing sub zero temps in Jan and Feb that I hate the heat!! LOL

I don’t know how I missed this comment! Sorry!
I will remind you in the New Year that you don’t like the heat and you can remind me, when I complain about the rain, that I do love the lush green of our country! 🙂
Happy Days! 🙂

Those broad beans are quite something and the colours in the cornflower arrangement are magnificent.

I don’t always have energy. For 12 years I had M.E. and so am grateful for every bit of energy I can muster and when I sleep the afternoon away, I don’t record it as a beautiful thing! 🙂
