Hallowe’en is arriving in town.
We finished a delightful puzzle today.
I’ve been to a fascinating Evening with Alice Roberts, a book promotion tour.
Our town, Redruth, was buzzing today with all sorts of celebrations for St Piran’s Day, St Piran being the patron Saint of Cornwall. It was lovely to see our town so full of happy people and in the most glorious sunshine.

Our eldest daughter is with us for the weekend, partly to get our boat ready for sale this Spring and partly because it is her birthday.
I made an absolutely delicious Spring Chicken Pot Pie for her birthday dinner. The recipe can be found here.

We were mired in mist and murk again today and the droplets on the roses looked like tiny jewels.
Driving to Falmouth this morning, we came out of the mist and into a bright day and later the sun suddenly shone through the sails at Gyllyngvase Beach today, so lovely.
There was sunlight later on our way home slanting through the trees.
It has been a misty sort of a day but still lovely for a walk. I loved these red sails in the mist, on a very long zoom!
2 Our Rosemary finished flowering sometime ago but in the balmy air of Falmouth and the sunshine that came through the mist as we finished our walk, this one goes on and on.
The words of Rumi resonate here as always:
“On a day
when the wind is perfect,
the sail just needs to open and the world is full of beauty.
Today is such a
day.”
― Rumi
Here are the photos of a perfect day – sailing with friends to The Helford River in our boat, Skippalong, anchoring for lunch, sailing back in time to watch the spectacular Red Arrows display and ending the day with a fish’n’chip supper.A perfect antidote to all the family leaving – spirits well lifted!
I’ll add the gallery tomorrow – the sea air has exhausted me!
