Another Fairy, Chocolate Amaretti Torte and a Gift

23 Jun

1   Samantha Bryan, sculptor and imagineer, has put out a call to reunite all her beautiful fairies, if only virtually. She has asked any owners to photograph them and send in the photos. Here is one of mine that I love with her little birthday candle to light her way when she’s out in the dark.

2   Today I have made the Chocolate Amaretti Torte for the reunion and for my guest posting with Go Bake Yoursel  I can’t turn out the one I made today until the party so here’s one I made earlier for my father-in-law’s 90th birthday party. It is so smooth and rich and scrumptious!

Here’s one I made earlier!

3   Knowing how I love to knit, and to knit wacky things as well as beautiful things, my lovely next-door-neighbour gave me this book today. Thank you! Watch this space!

For those of my readers who like my recipes, I have today put KJ’s fabulous Lime and Ginger Cheesecake up on the Recipe pages. Do comment there if you try it. I’d love to know how you get on with it!

I see that there is no end to your talents,
a lovely recipe maker, baking enthusiast
and a wonderful knitter too 🙂 Now that is
definitely something very good indeed 🙂

And that 90th Birthday Cake really does
look scrumptious, I could just eat some of
that right now with a cup of coffee 🙂

Thank you for always adding unique postings…

I am at my happiest creating something – be it food, knitting, sewing, gardening, writing…….

I’m in the process of knitting two little hoodies for J&T at the moment and have almost completed some bootees for a new member of the family. That stops me eating when I’m watching the TV!

      Have a lovely day

      🙂

Isn’t it a fabulous title?! I’m thinking hard and also think I’ll need to recruit a few helpers! 🙂

I had no idea you are so good with knitting! When I lived with my aunty age 8ish to 10, I learnt to crochet and was able to do it without looking at my hands, just watching TV. She was very impressed & I felt very special.

You’re excellent with it – love the orb.

Oh, that cake. If only only I could share it via some cyber portal … imagine in years to come …

I really wish I could send you some cake! What a lovely idea you’ve just come up with – a cake sharing cyber portal. My sister-in-law would like that too!
      🙂
