1 It has been Murdoch Day in Redruth, celebrating the inventions of this Redruth man.It was lovely to see our small town so busy and vibrant.
- The Murdoch Flyer
- Replica Flyer being fired up
- William Murdoch
- Plantain with halo
- Lemon Curd
2 Walking home I saw the halo around this plantain – so beautiful!
3 I spent the afternoon making more of Mum’s lemon Curd. I’ll put the recipe up soon.
and I just have to add another beautiful thng I was too late for yesterday…..
….Danny Welbeck’s goal! I watch the football with Mr S, often reading or knitting at the same time. I do enjoy a good game and just loved the amazingly deft footwork and the beautiful back heel that resulted in England’s 3rd goal last night!

What a lovely thing to say! You’ve made my day!
Especially because there were not-beautiful things in the garden today! My courgette/zuchini plant has died from being blown about by the gales and the slugs have eaten the tops out of some of the beans -but I only blog about the beautiful things!
I love lemons too as you might guess if you look through my recipe pages!
Love to you, hope you have a good day 🙂

I’m very glad you like my good things; yesterday was a very interesting day learning more about William Murdoch. There was also an exhibition about all the tin miners who emigrated all over the world and that was fascinating. I knew some of the history but there’s always so much more to learn! 🙂
