Baby Chuckles, Cornish Pasties and Kite Flying

08 Jun

1   Waking up to baby chuckles from the next door bedroom is just beautiful.

2   After shopping for new shoes for Tabitha and new socks for Jake we came home with Cornish Pasties for lunch. As usual, Tabitha enjoyed her Cornish treat!

3   First we made a kite, then we flew it in the park. When the string broke, we played and then Jake had a piggy-back home and I managed to get our picture in a reflection in a car window.

I remember making my first kite. I used two oleander branches and tied a bunch of my wise old grandmothers fabrics to it and then used a bunch of torn rags for the tail. It barely flew because it was just too heavy.

You all must have had a lovely day. It’s the stuff life is made of. Glad you didn’t have to pay tax on your Cornish pie.

Beautiful as ever, but sorry, the Cornish pasties win for me over the beautiful kids even!! I just loooove the pastry, and the peas & square veggie bits. I used to work in a French patisserie and I can’t say how much I LOVE pastry!! 🙂

I’m a sucker for pastry too, sweet or savoury! I have to limit my pasties to treats! 🙂

She is a sweetie and, last night, didn’t disturb us! I’m writing this before anyone else has woken up and the house is quiet! Just waiting for those baby chuckles to start!
      Have a happy day, Nia

Me too! I was so pleased it worked out. I tried it in several cars on the way home and this was the best.
