I love Truro Cathedral in all weathers but on a beautiful sunny Spring day like today, it’s even more lovely.
Today is our last official day with an allotment. From tomorrow it will be cared for by a lovely young family.
One of my birthday cards is a cut-out greenhouse, just delightful!
Inside the colourful crackers made by LiveWire no 4 were some delicious and very beautiful hand-painted chocolates. They were not quite as big as the photo suggests!

The winds have settled for us and we have been remarkably lucky. All around us, friends in local villages have suffered power outages that are expected to last until Sunday. Many trees have come down and blocked roads but we have been able to stay safely indoors.
We are gradually getting our utility room, aka Sun Room with its wide new window, back in order and have put some of the things back on the walls. One of these is an old print tray that I have used for special treasures, every one of which has a story. 
Tomorrow, all the family will arrive for a five day celebration of my birthday! This morning I read the following poem which reminded me of a fascinating fact I learned many years ago. Baby girls are born with all the eggs they will ever have, meaning a female foetus develops these future eggs while still in her mother’s womb, creating a fascinating biological link where a grandmother carried her future granddaughter as an immature egg inside her yet-to-be-born daughter. So, tomorrow with two daughters arriving with their daughters, this poem reminds us of our very special connection.
We visited Falmouth Art Gallery today where there were two exhibitions, one highlighting their collection and one called Out Of Paper showcasing so many paper creations.
I love the painting in the first exhibition by Unknown Artist of The Killigrew Monument which we had walked past earlier in the morning.
There were some beautiful cut paper sculptures. I love the fact that Secret Garden, when translated into French, ‘Jardin Secret’ refers to your inner soul.
The Paper Yarn piece really appealed to me and I added my words to be woven in next time the artist pops in. 
If you, Dear Reader, are local or maybe visiting Falmouth before the end of January, this is a lovely place to spend a couple of hours.
Just to add, I am remembering my lovely Mum today, on her birthday. As a little girl she was always delighted to think that everyone was celebrating her birthday with a firework display.
I spotted our first snowdrop today – perhaps Spring really is on its way. We had some sunshine today too.
The horses were in the back field again today. We haven’t seen them for a while so were very pleased to see them back. You can also see some of the very welcome sun on the grass and the hedge.
Taking down my birthday cards today, I thought you might like to see this rather special one – a grand piano! Isn’t it just exquisite?!
