Mandella, Bee Hotel and Nepal

28 Aug

Sadly, our beautiful Mandella bought in Arizona many years ago, has been attacked by moths and we can’t keep it.

After a delicious lunch with our dear friend M, we went to the garden centre to find a new shrub. No luck with that but I did see an amazing bee hotel.

In honour of our fellow human beings in Nepal who are suffering in the terrible flooding, I give you some pictures taken when we were lucky enough to visit in October 2013. Beautiful people, beautiful country. My heart goes out to them all.

I just heard that our Cornish based charity, ShelterBox, is on the ground already and assessing how they can help. They had a deployment of boxes in the area so will be able to provide help quickly. They are a wonderful charity.
If you would like to see more of this beautiful country, click here and move forward through the days. I am so deeply moved by this tragedy having fallen in love with the place and its people on our visit in 2013.

I’ve never been to Nepal, but the flooding has been terrific.

What humans have done and are doing is not just taking a toll on the planet . . . it’s taking a toll on us. Let’s hope we figure out how to reverse course and undo some of the damage we’ve done.

It’s all awful isn’t it and we really need to change our ways and try to save our beautiful planet. Sadly, money matters more to too many.

It ius a shame but we have enjoyed it for many years. I shall salvage the hoop and the beads and anything else that doesn’t seem moth damaged. đŸ™‚
