All over Cornwall are the abandoned engine houses from the days when Cornwall was the world centre of tin and copper mining. The area where we are has World heritage status and these buildings are the iconic remains of the industry.

    tin and copper mining…no more??? depleted it all???…love the abandoned stone buildings… “engine house”… what was that used for???
