Sea, Cabaret and Book

After singing this afternoon, it was such a glorious day I had to go to the sea, to hear the waves, to smell the salty air and see the blues.

Tonight we have been to a cabaret, Kernewek Keskesow Cabaret.

This was cabaret, community and creative protest  honouring the extraordinary contribution Cornish women made to the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp with an evening of theatre and music.

It featured renowned performers Rebecca Mordan, Bec Applebee, Fiona O’Cleirigh and Claire Ingleheart, this powerful and uplifting show combined first-hand testimony with songs – in both Cornish and English – and was an extraordinary evening. If you can catch the tour, do! You won’t regret it..

I bought the book!

Cruet Set, A Walk and Bark

I loved this cruet set which was on the table in The Melting Pot cafe in Krowji where we had a delicious lunch of Courgette and Leek soup.

Another walk in St Euny graveyard this afternoon – this time to talk logistics with Rebecca Mordan of Scary Little Girls who do literary theatrical walks. Our production, Until the Day Break,  becomes  more real every time we take someone else on the walk with us.

A tree in the graveyard caught my eye – the beautiful colours of the bark and the pictures therein. It was like cloud watching and finding shapes in them. I just discovered that there is a name for doing that – Pareidolia – I love new words!  What do you see here? My first mind picture changed as I took the photo.
