We spotted an umbrella on a pole next door near the fox…….
More rhododendron wood on the fox and if you look closely, you may spot the ears on the head which is being worked on, on the ground.
We have two lovely young people who work in our garden with us. Today, they left the lawn looking very neat and tidy as well as helping with a bit more of the wall garden which is now empty and ready for me to fill. I love a new project in the garden. 
This is our shady garden with the fountain, placed so it can be seen and heard from varius points in the garden.
Several weeks’ work came to fruition today as we planted a Passion flower and a Jasmine up the new arch. 
There is one remarkable flower open.
The Cornflowers were buzzing with bees this afternoon.

I love seeing the parade and all the children’s art and creations., 
We shared a Cornish Cream Tea, jam first!
Shopping in Truro this morning we were surprised to see a damselfly on the windowsill of Waterstones bookshop, nowhere near water. Checking on various id sites we think it’s a male banded demoiselle, such a pretty creature. Do click on the photo to see the beautiful detail and feel free to give us a definitive id.

Lovely morning of singing with the Suitcase Singers in Penryn followed by lunch with choir friends at Redruth’s brilliant Buttermarket. We were so busy eating and chatting that I didn’t get any photos! Here’s an old one followed by an even earlier one before all the wonderful renovations. 
Here’s a jigsaw we finished last week and the almost 1000 pieces of the new one ready to go with all the straight edges already removed.
I was thinking about my Mum today as I do many days, today especially because it is 32 years since she died. We visited her and dad’s bench this afternoon and sat and listened to the stream behind as it chortled its way down the valley. Mum loved any stream so the bench is perfectly situated.

It really pleased me to see the mark of someone’s drink on the arm of the bench. We really wanted walkers around this lovely area to enjoy taking a rest with my lovely Mum and Dad.

Another day at Roots and we potted on flowers ready to go out in a week or two. Every 11th row in the acre is pollinators of one sort or another. Today we potted on Zinnia, Cornflowers, Tagetes, Statice and Straw Flowers – what colourful patches they are going to be.
This evening we painted and varnished more protest boards. It won’t be long before they can go into position.
The head of the vixen is looking brilliant.
There are some colourful windmills at the Eco Park where I rehearse with one of my choirs on Monday afternoons.
The Ginger Lily gets better day by day.
I’ve made a Lemon and Chocolate cake for the volunteers at Roots tomorrow. It’s one of their favourites.
