It is such a joy to get out in the sunshine. It was very beautiful in Mount’s bay.
There were horses and their riders enjoying the water’s edge.
I just managed to catch this little dog having fun on the beach.
My sister, Daisy in Hawai’i, made this beautiful painting yesterday and I give you all her words below. Please read and feel free to share. Thank you.
Another crisp and beautifully blue day so we went to Trelissick. Come with us on our lovely walk, not that far but delightful nevertheless, spotting Snowdrops, Camellias, statues and sparkles on the sea. I managed quite a long walk, albeit with both crutches and I maintained a good rhythm. Click on any photo for detail and the caption.
1. Last week, my good friend, S, from choir brought me a pot of Narcissi, just little shoots and I promised to show you when they came into flower. Here they are and there are lots more buds to open yet. Aren’t they lovely? The pot they are in is particularly pretty too.

2. Only one of our water grown Hyacinths has worked this year. It is very beautiful and I love growing them in my Mum’s special glasses though it’s a pity that the others didn’t grow. I love seeing the root growth.

3. Today I cooked lunch! It was only Bubble and Squeak with a Poached Egg, which is one of my favourites but it is the first time this year that I have cooked anything and it felt like a big achievement to be standing at the cooker. It was delicious, of course!
Snow fell overnight and left everything looking very pretty for a little while. Before long the sky was truly blue and the sun warm so most of it melted away very quickly. We drove (not me yet! just a week to go!) to Gylly Beach. The snow on the top of the car was melting fast all down my passenger window and distorting the view in a delightful way. We had what felt like a long walk along the front, stopping off at the Gylly Beach Cafe for coffees and carrot cake. On the way home, coming out of Lanner, there were daffodils in the snow on the verges. Click on any photo for the caption and an enlargement.
1 A lovely friend called by yesterday when I was resting and left these beautiful bright flowers on the doorstep and with them a card of our local hotel, a photo dated 1780!
2 Maybe not for the squeamish but here is an x-ray of my wonderful new hip. I saw the surgeon today and he is delighted with my progress and that I have been doing all my exercises so well!
3 We have been waiting for snow and this afternoon had a snowstorm! It lasted about 10 minutes and ten minutes after that it has all gone though we could still see a dusting on the hills. That could well be our lot for the winter.
