Maritime Museum, Mud and Umbrellas

01 Aug

1    We spent the morning in the Maritime Museum in Falmouth and Jake had a lovely time.  (Click on any photo for an enlargement.)

2    We drove up to Lanhydrock to have a run around before KJ and the children went on their way. It had been raining hard and the mud was glorious!  These were the last goodbyes! We’ve had some members of the family here for just over three weeks and now they’ve all gone. We’re babysitting in London in only 10 days so it’s not too long before we see this branch of the family again.

3    It amused me at the end of the day to see all the umbrellas drying in the  Lanhydrock National Trust reception office.

Can’t stop reading your beautiful posts, but this one brought me up short to remembering a wonderful day at Llanhydrock in the autumn a few years ago. ..England as I remember it many many years ago in my childhood!!!
Nothing but beauty wherever the eyes rested….

Yes, Lanhydrock is a remarkable place, both beautiful and restful.

With Grandkids you can pretend to be! The only problem is that I tire too soon and Jake never does! 🙂

They are! The grown-ups love them as much as the kids – and they are quite hard to steer as the wind is coming at you and you have to control your sails as well as steering with the rudder! 🙂
