Flowers and A Poem

It seems Autumn is arriving in a rush. Most of our flowers are going in the wild winds and the lawn is covered in leaves. Walking along the road this evening, I was able to kick up piles of crispy leaves, something I love doing but it all feels a little premature.

Drawing, Flowers and Action for Happiness

Our lovely LiveWire No 4 drew a portrait of us both, me with a purple dress and her Grandad in a pink shirt. There is a tree and a flower too because we love our garden. We are holding hands because we love each other!

Grandparents!

We are surrounded by loveliness! Our lovely neighbour brought in a gorgeous bouquet to celebrate Mr S’s birthday.

Feather, Nasturtium and Warm Summer Sun

Early this morning, the sun was already warming up and I walked around the garden feeling peaceful. A feather had become caught among the Lobelias in the window box.

3       Mark Twain’s brief poem seems just right for today.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
    Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
    Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
    Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
    Good night, good night.
