1 Our Autumn sown Broad beans are in flower and the bees have been buzzing around.
2 I love these little white flowers of Arenaria Montana which will go on all Summer right through to the first frost.
3 Singing tonight was brilliant. We are doing ‘Summertime’ from Porgy and Bess and tonight it suddenly came together and sounded good.

Not sure way, broad beans are a rarity here. I should give them a try, if only for the flowers. Am probably going to sow peas one of these evenings. I normally have them planted by this time, even if I have to move snow of the garden to do so.

We are at least a month behind with everything else. The onions went in yesterday and I want to sow flowers – but we have awoken today, 1st May, to quite a heavy frost so I’m going to have to wait a bit longer. We haven’t been successful with peas but there’s nothing quite like fresh peas eaten straight out of the pod right there in the garden! 🙂

I love that song – fortunately noone is ever around to hear me sing it (I couldnt carry a tune in a bucket).

What a delightful expression! I’ve never heard it before. I’m a big believer in the African saying, ‘If you can walk, you can dance, if you can talk, you can sing!’ My teacher gets us all singing – wish you could join us! 🙂
