1 The family spent the morning at The Maritime Museum and we met them for lunch at The Gylly Cafe where it was, sadly, much too cold to go onto the beach.

2 Looking over the docks from Castle Drive was, as always, fascinating. We spotted the Dutch Brig, Mercedes with its tall masts in the distance. The photo of the ship in full sail is by David Barnicoat on 30th March.
