Cornish Sky, Spring Greens and A Cheetah

20 Apr

1   The sky is the most beautiful blue today, cloudless and quite stunning.

2   Leaning against the tree trunk and looking up though the tree that is greening up with new growth was lovely and attracted a few odd looks in town this morning!

3   I posted a mother leopard with a cub up on a mound for this week’s Photo Challenge and found this lovely Cheetah as I was going through the photos of our trip to South Africa.

Hello. I wondered whether you had resolved the issue with your comment replies not having the arrow in notifications. If so, what did you do to resolve it? I have been having that problem and it is not yet resolved.

Hello, no the problem is not yet resolved. I keep looking at my mail to see if they have said anything but no joy. It’s irritating isn’t it? Sometimes the ticks appear on some replies and then they disappear! 🙂

#one: laughs, okay this one is funny, sorry that probably wasn’t your intent. But it does speak to that we have to believe the photographer that it is not just a colour swatch.

#two: again speaks to the honesty of the photographer, it could very well be trees and sky reflecting in a pool of water. A poet would lie and say it is just that.

    # three: likes the cheetahs shot, is it me, but why do cheetahs have that look that says “if I want i could take you out in a millisecond, that is if wanted but I don’t so there”. Though I hear the most feared character there is this guy named ‘Don’ -wink wink.

South Africa, hmmm, am curious if you had to sum up your experience of SA in one sentence how would you phrase it. For me, though I have never visited it seems to identity and layers unto itself. Perhaps that is because of its long history, struggles and evolution on the man side and the nature side. It definitely has a pulse worth checking into from time to time.

*1 Funnily enough that’s what Mr S said too! But, truly, that was the sky above our garden yesterday – so beautiful I had to hope my readers would trust me!
*2 I do love reflections so I can understand your doubt. I am also a poet but I’m not going to lie!
*3 Cheetahs do have that relaxed look but you know they are all coiled and ready to run… And Don? Feared? No……
South Africa stole my heart – three visits so far and the main thought is still ‘contrasts’ utter beauty and the other in some parts, wealth and poverty, simplicity and complexity…. wonderful people and incredible wild life we need to go back again!

That sky is absolutely magnificent, And then that blue space filled with the branches of trees – wonderful. Were you lying down when you took the shot?

No, just leaning against the trunk and getting dizzy staring upwards, trying to focus to get the green buds against the clear blue sky. We don’t often get a sky quite so blue and quite so clear of all wisps of cloud and no vapour trails at all.
      🙂

My favorite color… That’s probably why I look “up” a lot!

That is such a lovely thing to do in the summertime – and to get that slightly whizzy feeling as the world spins. I remember doing that as a kid.

Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to comment – always much appreciated. 🙂

Thank you. I was seriously pleased with the sky photo but not sure it would be appreciated! Lovely that so many people have commented on it.
Glad you liked the cheetah – it was there for you! 🙂

Thank you so much! I loved it. Oh yes, the sky is so blue one would almost think it is a fill from a rendering software! It is amazing.
Even the one with the true is awesome! As I said earlier, you take lovely photos.
