Blue House, Blue Sky and Blue Boots

16 Feb

1    In Penryn today, this shiny blue drainpipe caught my eye, then the delightful folds in the shadow of the  Belisha beacon so I crossed the street to get a better shot of the whole lovely house. The door and the pipe are almost the colour of the deep blue sky behind and the unexpected beauty of it all took my breath away.

2   The grey branches and the soft green leaves of the Eucalyptus tree looked so beautiful against the bluest of skies.  How we have missed blue skies over these last few grey months!

3   I’ve just finished some second size boots which should fit our nearly-due Grandchild in the Autumn as the weather is getting colder again. The matching cardigan is almost done.

There are some good colours on houses in that area, especially in Beau Maris. That blue is a great shade.

I LOVE the blue building – blue is one of my favorite colors and it’s neat how you found it in so many different forms! 🙂

Your post the other day about dragons on houses made me notice some today – theFireplace shop next to the garage just past Barncoose Hospital has its two outside lights held in dragons’ mouths!

Yes, several varieties and they grow and grow, especially in the South West. I just wish we had the koalas in them too!

Why do you call them ‘drop bears’? 🙂

As kids it’s what we used to tell American tourists: “Koalas, cute!? Don’t be mad! Don’t EVER walk under gum trees…. these things drop from the branches and rip your face off!”

Splendid blue skies here also, with frost. A welcome change from the gray.

Serendipity brought all those blues together. When I saw them, I knew I had to finish off the boots quickly to include them! 🙂

Ah you sing the blues…….well not in that way. And I doily noted the absence of raindrops in this one.

Such beautiful blues today and they came together serendipitously! It wasn’t until I downloaded the photos that I realised how blue the post was going to be – so I hastily sewed up the little boots! 🙂
