Porthtowan Beach was our destination with our Ukrainian friends this afternoon. It was wild and windy and very healing which was so good to hear. 
The chaotic waves were throwing up foam which had the loveliest colours. I love collecting heart stones and found this one for M who didn’t come on the walk.
Dogs have such a joyful time on the beach in the autumn/winter months when they are allowed on the beach. I really love watching them and was delighted to catch a short video of one catching a Frisbee.

Nicely done on the video, Sally. We had a wild and windy week too, but made it through IAN without getting blown around too much.
We did have to evacuate our villa AND then our hotel room (in the dark, with no power) due to the imminent threat of a roof collapse (which did not happen). We lost both power and water at the hotel and power at the villa and had to go next door to another hotel to get water for flushing the toilets.
Home Thursday. Power came on yesterday at 4 pm. YAY!
We had some different meals this week due to IAN, including a mostly raw salad with blanched broccoli, black olives, celery & carrots sticks, Vermont cheddar, and Good Seasons Italian Dressing (I would make it again even without a Hurricane).

What a crazy time for you and I am very glad that you are safe if somewhat discombobulated.
Your raw salad sounds delicious and full of goodness. I’d be making it again too!
It took 4 or 5 attempts at the video to actually catch the dog leaping and catching the frisbee. He did it every time but my videos missed it.
