1 Walking through Penryn a different way today, I noticed the old Fire Station, all painted up and now someone’s home. Click on the photo for detail of the sign over the door.
2 Today is the Spring Equinox and we went again to our friends’ newly planted woodland where they are creating a stone circle. We helped to raise a stone at Winter Solstice, see this post, and today we helped to raise another for the Spring Equinox. Follow the slide show through to see the whole event.
3 After a cold and rather wet Ceremony, we went in to sit by the wood-burning stove and tucked into the most delicious cake made by T, in honour of the developing stone circle.

I like the way they have done up the outside of the old fire house. I would love to see how they have done up the inside.

Thank you! It was great fun and we will be setting up another stone each Equinox and each Solstice until the Circle is complete. 🙂

No, we’ll be filling in all the gaps! I think G is aiming for 12. He has dug up many more beautiful granite rocks in the field.

I keep reading that chocolate is good for you. But then eating anything that is good for you takes away all the fun.

Wasn’t it just?! I love this and hope we’ll be there for the next one too!
It is lovely to be a part of something that will be there for ever in the middle of the woodland, newly planted, there long after we have all gone……
Thank you for making us a part of something so special. 🙂
