Fabric shop, Public Art and Decorating

25 Jun

1   Discovered the delights of a new fabric shop in Redruth this morning. Now I just need more hours in the day to do sewing projects as well!

Just look at these beautiful colours!

2     In our main street are these wonderful Tinner’s Hounds, mostly well behaved but a couple got away to a nearby signpost!

3    Our lovely decorator came today and is transforming our doorways upstairs.

Pretty fabric – it would be beautiful made into just about anything. And I absolutely love the boot sculptures.

I love the hounds too and the fact that they are made out of tinners’ boots!
I had to go back and buy that beautiful fabric! Don’t know why I left it yesterday!
      Have a good day 🙂

Another day of great photos – especially the fabric shop! It is a joke that whenever I go in a fabric shop I black out and when I come to I have spent too much $$$ on fabric. I need to be retired for at least 50 years to complete everything!! ha ha Have a blessed day from one fabric-oholic to another!! Patty

Lovely to know a fellow fabric shopper! I didn’t buy that beautiful stuff yesterday but had to go back today as it was calling to me! I don’t yet know what I’ll do with it but I’ll think of something!
Hope you are having a lovely day.

Aren’t they delightful? They were yarn bombed once (not by me) and I’m thinking I’d like to do it again!

Children love them. It was quite unusual to catch them without children around. 🙂

A very nice choice for your three beautiful things,
have you ever done any quilting projects, perhaps
    toys, cushions or whatever? 🙂

There are many designer fabrics online but you
have found one of your own to frequent, which is
much better and easier for ongoing works 🙂

Have a great day today 🙂
    Shame about our hopeless
    penalty taking, but hey we
did really well I guess 🙂

      Toys, cushions, clothes for children!

It was a shame about the penalties but I felt they could leave with their heads high as they did much better than the pundits were predicting and I feel they can only get better with Roy Hodgson in charge.
      Have a good day
      🙂

I love the sound of your big pillows! This is such a coincidence because I, too, plan to make pillows, but smaller ones for my Grandchildren! I found some beautiful fabric for them but can’t post the picture as I want it to be a surprise! I will when I’ve made them and given them – after Christmas!

Have a lovely day with your sewing.

      🙂

It would be so good to be neighbours! It is lovely to meet through our blogs but would be even better if we could spend real time together and share sewing projects and photo techniques and have a hug!
          Love to you 🙂

I love the artsiness (yes it is a word ;)) of this post! Those designs of the fabric remind me of India 😀

    Cheers

Yes, they are really rich and reminiscent of some Indian paintings I once saw (and loved) by two British sisters of Indian origin, Amrit and Rabindra Kaur Singh. Their pictures are absolutely glorious in their colour and minute detail. Look them up when you have time….
Good luck with the studying and exams. I think they finish this week?
      🙂
