Parking, Detritus and Himalayan Cat

We did the school run this morning though it was more of a scoot. I loved the scooter parking spot.

While the LiveWires were at school we cleared up the Christmas confetti and glitter all of which had been left up for our special family weekend. I liked the pretty collection in the dustpan!

One of the family cats likes to rest halfway up the stories and has to be carefully stepped over. Boris is very beautiful indeed and is a Himalayan. Here he waits with Piglet for the return of the children.

Mosaic, Choir-Baby and Arizona Boots

While I have been away from singing, some new mosaics have been added to the building. This colourful fishy and boaty one is outside the pre-school room near to where we sing.

One of our choir members occasionally brings her Granddaughter to choir. Here she has stopped her colouring in and is gazing at the singers.

I love my hand-made Arizona boots, made to order for me many years ago by an artist friend of my sister who used to live in Prescott. I wore them to choir today. They always cheer me up should I need it. i didn’t today but they made lots of singers smile!

Penryn River, Miss Peapod’s Cafe and Guest Posting

1   I go to Penryn every week to sing with The Suitcases and this beautiful view never fails to move me! We are so lucky to be living in this most beautiful county.

2    An artist (whose name I must find out) has been working on these mosaics around the door and the windows of Miss Peapod’s Cafe which is where we all gather after singing for coffee, delicious homemade cakes, perhaps Poached Egg with Spinach on Toasted Ciabatta or even, as this morning for Claire and Mandy, a full English breakfast!

3    One of the blogs I read is by a 16 year old in Australia who is the most amazing cook. She is in Year 11 and has exams coming up so has to give her time to study. She has invited Guest Bloggers to blog on her space Go Bake Yourself during this time and I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen by her! I now have to choose between Chocolate Torte and Lime and Ginger Cheesecake, both of which I am making soon for our Family reunion party in July.
