Kitten, Kite and Water

I showed you one of the Maine Coon kittens last week, here, and now here she is at 6 months old and just as pretty!

Last Thursday, I took photos before choir but that night, the unveiling of Lowarnes at The Lost Gardens of Heligan took precedence over everything else for my blog so here they are today, a kite flying above the cafe in an attempt to deter the seagulls and the sun on the river.

Another Kitten, Feather and Flowers

The kitten I showed you yesterday left home and went to live with daughter no 1. This one stayed at home and here he is at about 12 weeks and 6 months.

A feather turned up on the carpet. How? I don’t know but I do love the delicacy of feathers.

The white Cosmos flowers are still going strong despite the wild winds and heavy rains.

Forever Homes

Two of the kittens have left home today – such heartbreak. The other two are either crackers or asleep. One of the ones left behind will stay here and the other is going to Devon next weekend.

Kittens, Blossom and Sea

We’ve been with family for the last few days and were able to see the Maine Coon kittens with their beautiful mother.

Love the blossom on this tree in their London garden.

The train journey along the coast  is always a delight.

Mini Holiday, Cirque du Soleil and A Poem

Apologies for no blog over the last few days. We have been in London  with family, their new Maine Coon kitten, enjoying the company of LiveWires 2 and 3 and spending an evening in The Royal Albert Hall enjoying the amazing spectacle of Allegria by Cirque du Soleil. Enjoy the gallery, click on any photo for the bigger version.

Gizmo, Lizbeth and A Sunset

1    After breakfast in London, we left that part of the family and went for a delicious lunch with Daughter No 1 on our way home. We were able to meet her beautiful Maine Coon kittens, just ten months and so very big and furry! Here is Gizmo who totally fills their basket. Just look at his furry ears and ruff.

2   Lizbeth is smaller and daintier but still big compared with most kittens of ten months. You can see how she is smaller than Gizmo in the basket but even so she fills the seat of an ordinary dining chair!  Maine Coons can grow to weigh 22lbs!

3   Tonight’s sunset was glorious and, driving West to come home, we were able to appreciate its beauty for ages.

Maine Coon Kittens, Teapot and Feather

1   Our eldest daughter has just adopted two very beautiful Maine Coon kittens. Here they are at 13 weeks old. They are making her very happy! There’ll be more photos to come I am sure.

2   I found this beautiful little decorated tea pot in a junk shop many years ago and today used it to make a fresh ginger and lemon infusion with Cornish honey. Delicious!
