Daffodil, Cyclamen and A Cat

Our first daffodil has bent over its head so the bloom won’t be far behind.

We have just one pink cyclamen. I thought I had bought only white ones!

We walked down to the allotment today, not to work but to see how the potatoes were doing. There isn’t one plant! We didn’t dig so I suppose there may be some tubers in the ground….. While there we did see the resident ginger cat.

Share Everything!

Cold, heavy rain here all day (snow around the rest of the country) and it’s been a reading and jigsaws kind of day so I thought I’d share this that I read a while ago.  Lessons for life I think.

Trinket, Book and An Illustration

This beautiful little thing was made for us some years ago by LiveWire no 4 and we love it.

One of my birthday presents was a beautiful book, “Blowin’ in the Wind”, an illustrated version of the Bob Dylan song. There is also a cd  of his original recording.

The water colour paintings by Jon J Muth are very lovely,  with a paper aeroplane motif representing the thought that is blowin’ in the wind.

Bloom and Decorations

Just one bloom fell off the Camellias I was given by dear friends for my birthday.

The decorations come down tomorrow so I thought I’d show you our Father Christmas collection which go on the mantelpiece and the ones in the fire place.

On the mantlepiece

Circles of greenery and red and gold

Jigsaw, Kindness and Love

While in Tate St Ives last week, we bought a jigsaw in their fascinating shop and have spent a happy afternoon starting on its 1000 pieces.

This quotation from The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien seems most apt as this New Year begins.

Frost, Family and Football

We woke to a surprisingly heavy frost, here, in Cornwall – the rooftops were sparkling in the sunshine.

We had another family day, lunch and another walk on the beach, Perranporth today.

I loved the very clear impression of a football in the damp sand.

And, just like that, they’ve gone……

Family Day

The Sing for your Heart, Sing for your Soul session this morning was brilliant as I had my daughter, Granddaughter and son-in-law with me and I loved it. It was a very special sing.

Daughter No 1 joined us later and we all went to Chapel Porth for Croque Monsieurs for lunch at the fabulous café there, a walk on the beach and hot chocolates. What a lovely day!
