Sorting out some books today, I re-discovered my Granny’s prize book, presented to her in 1902. The stories are beautifully told and I loved them as a child. The author’s name doesn’t appear on the front, only on the spine. The illustrator, Gordon Browne, is credited on the front cover. I do like this Bottom and the fairies.
2 The Agapanthus I showed you about 10 days ago is opening. I loved how the rain drop looks blue in the curl. Click on the photo and zoom in!
3 Our Cherry tomatoes in the hanging basket are doing really well. We had our first harvest today and they are delightfully sweet.

What vibrant tomatoes! Also, I’ve recently been into buying antique books like this Shakespeare one. I think they are beautiful. =) What a discovery!!

Love Bottom, and love the nib and pen hand-writing… so beautiful… agapanthus … so beautiful too, my garden is full of them as they thrive here, and there are so many different types too, from miniature to the deep purple very tall ones I have…

I didn’t know there were so many types of agapanthus . We have the deep purple ones and white ones and I have seen the paler blues but no miniature ones. A garden full of them must be something to behold! 🙂

Bonus–the book appears to be illustrated by a former PM.
