Rosehips, Hollyhocks and Cuckoo-pint

1   Leaving my piano lesson today, the hedge once full of wild roses is now full of Rosehips. Had I more time, I would have collected some for Rosehip Jelly.

3   Along the lane the Arum maculatum, also known as cuckoo pint or cuckoo-pint here in the British Isles is named thus in Nicholas Culpepers‘ famous 16th Century herbal. These berries are sadly poisonous if very glossy and lovely looking!
