This plant that we know as Lords and Ladies is most obvious at this time of year when the berries, which are poisonous, positively glow in the afternoon sunshine. Wikipedia tells of many other names here.

Rosehips, Hollyhocks and Cuckoo-pint
1 Leaving my piano lesson today, the hedge once full of wild roses is now full of Rosehips. Had I more time, I would have collected some for Rosehip Jelly.
2 A neighbour is growing Hollyhocks. These pale pink beauties are about10′ tall!
3 Along the lane the Arum maculatum, also known as cuckoo pint or cuckoo-pint here in the British Isles is named thus in Nicholas Culpepers‘ famous 16th Century herbal. These berries are sadly poisonous if very glossy and lovely looking!
