Today’s post is all about new growth:
1 The redness and shininess of new Holly leaves.
2 The pinkness and softness of new Nettle growth.
3 A dramatic White Poppy just opened which I just had to buy from the Nursery this afternoon.

Very pretty. As a kid I accidently hid in some nettles and got the rash so I was very surprised to learn people eat them! I wonder how way back in history people got past that and learned to cook them.

Am a sucker for Holy. Mine suffered terrible from winter kill. Hopefully it will rejuvenate this summer, but there is no hope for berries this winter.
White poppies -a flower for peace. I noticed this year Jet Black Petunias are all the rage in the garden nurseries.
