Winter Sunrise, Seed-head and Scarlet Leaves

06 Dec

1   I love winter sunrises; this one was gorgeous. I love the dark clouds and the bright orange of the sunrise.

2   On our walk around the back today, L spotted these beautiful seed-heads. I think they are from Old Man’s Beard. Grand-baby B loved the walk and was curious about everything, not falling asleep at all though that was the hope!

3   The leaves on the Cotoneaster  were so beautifully scarlet in the afternoon sunshine.

This year the everyday plants are performing so well, such as your cotoneaster. Berberis seem to have been fired up this autumn too. Great autumn!

Love the sunrise and what I believe are the scarlet fall colors on a Cotoneaster.

Seedhead my favorite…I like that you walk all of the time…brings you closer to your surroundings I imagine…

I like sunrises in any season, it’s my favorite time of day. But you’re right – there is something about winter sunrises which make them so special. Nicely captured, Sally!
