Walking Holiday in Cornwall 5

26 Jul

Falmouth was today’s destination, taking the ferry from Truro to Falmouth and enjoying a gentle stroll around the town after the daily 10-12 mile walks of the previous few days.

We saw that ship in port in St John, Canada. Since then I have been wanting to live on it…guess I should start saving my pennies!! LOL

It’ll take an awful lot of pennies! 🙂

Are you going to climb down the cliffs at Land’s End? That was scary fun. But I was a whole lot younger then.

Didn’t know people owned apartments on ships…I am surely not in the “fast lane”…but, a neat concept…

Actually, I find it rather ugly and horrid – but it was M&R’s record of that day. I agree with Jim in IA’s comment.

Ugh…that opulence of the rich and famous troubles me.

Quite gross isn’t it – and dominating the harbour in the way the rich world dominates the rest. The only good thing is that it brings trade into the relatively poor port of Falmouth.

Wow! MS The World… what a way to live and see the world! I love Falmouth, my daughter went to University there to study English with Creative Writing so we visited a few times during her stay, the most memorable being her graduation! Whenever I’m in Cornwall it feels like home 🙂

I know what you mean! I grew up here then moved away for 40 years! Coming back to live here was certainly coming home.

One of our daughters was at Tremough too. Her graduation was held in Truro Cathedral and was a wonderful affair too with Floella Benjamin presenting. 🙂
