1 A year ago we had just had a new wall built and I had just finished planting it up. Most of the plants are thriving and we are delighted with it.

2 The Courgette plants have a flower. I can’t understand why some people batter and deep-fry the flowers with out waiting for the courgettes to form but maybe if there were a glut…….

3 After mowing the lawn the lovely Mr S put my sculpture back at a different angle and he now looks like a young bird rather than a Fledgling. I’ll have him back as a Fledgling next Spring!

I know the feeling of seeing your plants taking off…and your idea coming to life…very pretty…I too like before and after pictures…gives a true feeling of how things are moving along…very nice!

I really love your wall and garden. It would be interesting to see it in about one more year, it should really come into its own right about then. It is gorgeous now, but time will only make it better.

I will show you again in a year and I also plan on showing you in the winter as we have evergreen clematis which should flower this winter. We live in hope!

You have yourselves, a ‘Great Wall’. A true micro climate, as the plants are obviously thrilled and thriving.
Your so much farther along then here. Only thing I have harvested to date are WEEDS!!! Peas in couple weeks, maybe. Baby tatters, maybe three weeks.
The fledgling or young bird I rather like and it seems so you.

Thank you. I do love my little bird! Although our beans are doing well, they are the autumn sown ones. The ones planted in the Spring are way behind. Our peas failed but the French beans are at last climbing the poles. Let’s hope they flower and make beans before it gets to Autumn again… 🙂

Before and after pictures are great… I took photos of our home after we had first moved in and everything was settled. Every now and again I look back on those and then have a major clutter clear out!!! 🙂

I like the looks of it, too. Our house front has a wall of stone about 12′ wide from ground to eave. Our builder wanted to do it himself rather than contract someone. I’m glad he did. It looks so much nicer than many of the pre-fab fake walls.

I agree! Natural is the best, no matter the artificial stone is close to real things– which we all know it is still big difference to the real natural stone…
