1 After a happy morning immersing ourselves in the history of Suffragettes, in particular, the March in 1913 from Cornwall up to Hyde Park and A Suffragette Diary, we enjoyed a splendid lunch, mussels for C and Asparagus in Parma ham for me!

2 After lunch we walked in the beautiful Spring sunshine down the beach to the shoreline.

3 My Suffragette garden, honouring my Great Grandmother and all those imprisoned in Holloway and force fed in their fight to gain the vote for women, is looking splendid in today’s sunshine – white and purple tulips, white narcissi and purple and white pansies.

I agree about the Mussels – they were my friend’s choice and I steered clear! Dad wrote 13 books for children/teenagers and 4 for adults and, yes, I am very proud of him! 🙂

Your beautiful things today have touch on some of my fav shtufffs….suffragette, obviously important, but as a word I find curiously interesting -the way in which it sounds out.
Mussels, are number one, well tied with fresh figs. Second asparagus.
Ripples and waves – the foot print of waves. As you, I photograph them whenever am near a shore,
Black tulips, beats a rose hands down.

Thank you! I thought of you when I posted the ripples photo, it being rather enigmatic. I am not a fan of mussels – they were for my pal, but I do love fresh figs. And I am delighted with the dark, dark tulips 🙂

I missed it for years too when I was away from Cornwall. It is such a joy to be back. I hope my pictures give you good memories. 🙂
