And beautiful people does Indian and Nepal have. Enjoyed the images!
A number years ago, I shocked myself when I realized how little I did not photograph the people where it was I visited. Often I was just overwhelmed by where I was and simply forgot them -kinda like ‘can’t see the trees because of the forest’. Its good to see you noticed.
BTW, this may sound silly, but silly I am at times, one of my favourite books which I read often when I want to escape is Michael Palin’s ‘Himalaya’. So I look at the images you post with great interest. Often I find myself looking at and past the images for all the details with in the frame.

Interesting you should say that. It was as I was sorting my parents stuff including photographs that I began to realise that that is what I was doing too. Their photographs without people became meaningless when it was their trip not ours and we didn’t know where they were taken. The ones with people, even if we didn’t know the people were the ones we kept, for their humanity.
I love what you say about looking into and past my images – that makes them really valuable! My landscape photos are still to come as I sort through the 2000+ photos I took on that amazing trip.
I have asked for that book for Christmas! 🙂

It’s nice to know that someone asked to photograph you. Sometimes I think photographers forget that a favor should be returned. Like the photographs…

People kept asking to have their photograph taken with me! We thought it must have been my blonde curls, neither blonde nor curly being seen much in India or Nepal. 🙂

Love the one of the bookshop. I bought a Salman (?) Rushdie novel in just such a shop.

He was such a lovely man! We had a photo taken together too and I bought a book about Indian stories and customs. 🙂
