1 St Ives was our destination today, by train along one of the most beautiful coastlines. St Ives itself is very beautiful and one of the highlights for me is always our visit to the Barbara Hepworth Studio and Garden.
2 By the time we went back along to catch the train home, some Graffiti Grannies had been busy yarn bombing the rails!
3 Two sculptures for you, one, on St Ives railway station by David Kemp who made the Tinners Hounds in Redruth town centre and this driftwood one which I’ve posted before but in case you missed it, here it is again, St George and the Dragon. I love it!
I just want to show you this extra photo from yesterday which delighted me. It was taken near the Lizard Lighthouse.
If you have read this far, a question for you…. I’ve decided I don’t really like the Gallery way of presenting a series of photos as they cannot be enlarged as much to see detail. What do you think?
One from yesterday that I don’t think was served well by putting it into a Gallery.

That’s such a shame! No-one else has reported it as a problem and I don’t know how to help, sorry. 🙁

Dear Sally, I am bowled over by these beautiful shots. I like them in this size. Have you tried fiddling with different blog themes to see how the photos look there? Hope that helps. Thanks again for such a feast to the eyes. Sharon

I like them this size too. I haven’t tried any other themes as this seems to suit me generally. I hadn’t realised though that different themes allow one to do different things.
If I did try another theme, would the whole lots already done also change? Would I be able to change back if I wanted to? Do you know?! 🙂
Thank you for all your lovely positive comments, sorry I haven’t visited you recently, family visits have taken all my time and just beginning to catch up. I’ll be along soon! 🙂

Hi Sally, when you choose a different theme, past posts automatically fit into the new one as well. What you can do is to try out and see how your blog looks in different themes. If you don’t like the new look, simply change it back. Hope that helps.
Hey, no worries dear girl. You just go enjoy yourself to the full in Barcelona now ok! Hugs xx

I have seen a few Barbara Hepworth sculptures, so I enjoyed these pictures considering they seem to belong where they were -at home so to speak. Here we have literally tons of her contemporary Henry Moore especially in Toronto.

NO, I couldn’t find the bucket either!, I’d find it hard to choose, because I love your detailed pics, but I also loved the panoramic views, which made me feel quite homesick they were so beautiful

I’m glad you are liking my photos but sorry they make you homesick! Which bit of the UK are you from? 🙂
I hope you found the bucket in the next post! It was quite sad seeing it abandoned! 🙂

Stunning! And interesting as well. On the ‘bucket’ shot, I did see the yellow bucket the other day, and just now I right-clicked on it and opened a larger version in my I.E.9 browser – but it looked less sharp. I’d be interested to know if there’s a better way…

So would I! Sometimes the photos are really sharp but sometimes they lose something on enlargement. I do prefer posting them as large photos one at a time rather than the gallery which I’ve gone off! 🙂 🙂

So beautiful. The sky seems to be competing with the water to see which can be bluer!

I wanted to see the Grafitti Grannies!! That title totally caught my eye – but I didn’t see them (?)
Love the pictures though, all of them. Mercy, so fresh (I say that a lot, but it’s true). How wonderful, your days…

No-one ever sees the Graffiti Grannies! They steal in while no-one is looking and attach their knitting somewhere and vanish again!
Thank you again for your lovely comments – always appreciated. 🙂
