1 St Ives was our destination today, by train along one of the most beautiful coastlines. St Ives itself is very beautiful and one of the highlights for me is always our visit to the Barbara Hepworth Studio and Garden.

2 By the time we went back along to catch the train home, some Graffiti Grannies had been busy yarn bombing the rails!

3 Two sculptures for you, one, on St Ives railway station by David Kemp who made the Tinners Hounds in Redruth town centre and this driftwood one which I’ve posted before but in case you missed it, here it is again, St George and the Dragon. I love it!

If you have read this far, a question for you…. I’ve decided I don’t really like the Gallery way of presenting a series of photos as they cannot be enlarged as much to see detail. What do you think?

I like them this size too. I haven’t tried any other themes as this seems to suit me generally. I hadn’t realised though that different themes allow one to do different things.
If I did try another theme, would the whole lots already done also change? Would I be able to change back if I wanted to? Do you know?! 🙂

Hi Sally, when you choose a different theme, past posts automatically fit into the new one as well. What you can do is to try out and see how your blog looks in different themes. If you don’t like the new look, simply change it back. Hope that helps.

I have seen a few Barbara Hepworth sculptures, so I enjoyed these pictures considering they seem to belong where they were -at home so to speak. Here we have literally tons of her contemporary Henry Moore especially in Toronto.

NO, I couldn’t find the bucket either!, I’d find it hard to choose, because I love your detailed pics, but I also loved the panoramic views, which made me feel quite homesick they were so beautiful

Stunning! And interesting as well. On the ‘bucket’ shot, I did see the yellow bucket the other day, and just now I right-clicked on it and opened a larger version in my I.E.9 browser – but it looked less sharp. I’d be interested to know if there’s a better way…

So would I! Sometimes the photos are really sharp but sometimes they lose something on enlargement. I do prefer posting them as large photos one at a time rather than the gallery which I’ve gone off! 🙂 🙂
