Garden Rescue, Fungi and Pak Choi
Storm Callum left our garden battered but not too badly. I went out in the wildness to collect some broken off Millet stalks and some Dahlias which now look rather lovely in a vase.
Coming back across the lawn, we found these Fungi which I hope will develop into a Fairy Circle.
Near the house is the vegetable trough where I planted winter vegetables. While we were away, caterpillars ate most of the Pak Choi which now looks quite lacy and pretty!
Wesley’s Wise Words, Hummus and Dahlias at Dusk
1 A good friend sent me this quotation from John Wesley:
2 We harvested all the the rest of the broad beans today and blanched and froze most of them, just saving back enough for supper and for delicious Broad Bean Hummus for lunch.
3 The light was beautiful at dusk and lit the White Dahlias to perfection.
