Soup, Pink and A Border

15 Mar

There was an hour or so this morning before it rained so we went down to the lottie to do some work and pull some leeks which I then made into a delicious Leek and Bean soup for lunch. The chives are from my edible garden trough.

Homegrown leeks in a delicious soup

Our narrow border is full of little bulbs, some of which I can’t identify. (Over to Jude!)

Present from Sharon many years ago.

The border outside the kitchen is full of Tete a Tete, Muscari and Anemone Blanda.

It is a lovely Spring border. I’m hoping that the tulips will follow again this year but tulips are so unreliable. I did plant then very deeply as that is supposed to encourage them to come again but we shall see. 🙂

Snoakes is right – Glory of the Snow is the common name, I have some but they are not yet in flower. Your blue and yellow border is a delight. So nice too see these bulbs appear year after year.

That’s a pretty name – I like it. Yes, I love the blue and yellow border, so bright and uplifting on these grey days which seem endless.
