1 It is ten years today since my lovely Dad died and, of course, he still leaves a hole in my life. This morning in our newspaper was a lovely piece by Lindy West about losing her Dad three years ago. I found it heart warming. Click on the red link to read it.
2 In the midst of some horrific news this week comes a beautiful reminder on the inherent goodness and humanity of people. I loved this story of a student in Preston who slept rough herself to repay a homeless man’s kindness to her. Another heart-warming story for you.
3 We have some colour in the garden as the Kaffir Lilies begin their winter show.

Thank you for the links, reading them keeps our own lives in perspective 🙂

You are so right, Uru. It makes us glad for what we have and more aware, perhaps, of what we could be doing.
All the best to you this Christmas. I find it hard to think of Christmas in the summertime! Enjoy your beautiful mid-summer weather! 🙂

Neeks, sent me this when my father passed away. Its is an interesting site. http://www.dayswithmyfather.com/ Thought you might find it interesting as I did. Doesn’t help the void though but feeling the hole is far far far better than feeling nothing I think.
Hard to imagine something growing outside for me this time of the year. I’ve never heard of a Kaffir Lily.
