Your my kind of Chef – food that is simple, little prep and there you go -enjoy. And it looks purrrrity, to boot. Am sure it tasted even better outside amidst what you and yours built, grew and care fore.
Crinodendron Hookerianum, I had never seen before. First thought, Chinese Lantern-like. Low and behold as you know, I did not till I googled, as Chilean lantern tree. By the looks of your Chilean lantern, they like the moisture there.
Glad you enjoyed Maude. Her story is worth knowing. I first seen the Maude’s house when I was in my early teens while visiting friends near Digby, Nova Scotia. Maude was deceased by then, her husband was still in the house -his last year(s) I believe. Their home stuck out on the way to Digby Neck, and I remember it well, but I had no clue as to its importance. I learned about Maude while attending Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. The Nova Scotia Art Museum on Hollis St. in Halifax has a permanent exhibit on display, including the tiny home in it’s entirety. Worth the visit if anyone happens to visit Nova Scotia.

I would love to see Maud’s house. I really fell for her and her work. She looked so frail and must have been in pain but didn’t let that stop her painting. Someone with strength and productivity and an example to live by. 🙂
